How to Play UNO No Mercy:

The rules are brutal. You can stack draw cards, meaning if someone plays a +4, you can play a +4 to make the next person draw 8! The 7 and 0 rules apply: playing a 7 lets you swap hands with another player, and playing a 0 makes everyone pass their hand to the next player. The game ends when one player gets rid of all their cards, or everyone else is eliminated by the Mercy Rule (25+ cards).

How to Survive the Wild Draw 10 in UNO No Mercy

June 17, 2026

If you've played UNO No Mercy, you know the fear. The tension builds as the turn order approaches the player who has been hoarding cards. Then, it happens. They slam down the Wild Draw 10.

Drawing 10 cards in a game where holding 25 cards means instant elimination is a massive blow. But it’s not an automatic death sentence. Here is how you can survive the worst card in the game.

1. Always Hoard Your Own Draw 10

The golden rule of UNO No Mercy is that stacking is legal. If someone plays a Wild Draw 10 on you, the only way to avoid drawing the cards is to play another Wild Draw 10 on top of it. This passes a staggering Draw 20 to the next player!

Because of this, you should never play your Wild Draw 10 aggressively unless you absolutely have to. Keep it as an insurance policy. Let someone else start the war; you finish it.

2. Pray for a 7

If you get hit with the 10 cards and your hand balloons to 15+ cards, your immediate priority is to find a 7 card.

In No Mercy, playing a 7 forces you to swap hands with another player. After drawing those 10 cards, look around the table. Find the player with the fewest cards, and the moment it’s your turn, drop the 7 and steal their hand. You just turned your punishment into their nightmare.

3. The "0 Card" Dump

Similar to the 7, the 0 card is a lifesaver. When a 0 is played, all players must pass their hands in the direction of play. If you just drew 10 cards and the turn order is moving clockwise, playing a 0 forces the player to your left to take your massive hand.

4. Deflect with Skips and Reverses

If you survive the initial draw but are hovering dangerously close to the 25-card limit, you need to go on the defensive. Avoid playing colors that your opponents are heavily discarding. Instead, use your Skips and Reverses to bypass aggressive players and keep the heat off yourself until you can reduce your hand size.

The Wild Draw 10 is terrifying, but with the right cards and a little luck, you can survive it and stay in the game!
